Cardiff Principality Stadium on July 11 2017
My daughter and I travelled to Cardiff Principality Stadium in what could only be described as torrential downpour all the way from Derby. The motorway was at standstill as wipers would not work. We arrived at the Jockey Park queued for a bus in the still pouring rain. Bus was steamed up but every one on-board thrilled at the night ahead. We arrived in Cardiff and walked quite a considerable way still in the pouring rain to then join a queue of excited fans all wet through yet still excited.
We queued for about 45 minutes and then the goal was in sight. We were ushered in by security to meet with staff mopping the floors as they were wet through. We climbed the stairs, grabbing a wrist band on our way, to reach our seats. Our clothes were sodden and we had to sit on wet coats as nowhere to put them. Did this damper our spirits not on your life. When the concert began it was everything we dreamed of. The fans were superb and Chris as always the showman. Singing all our favourites and jollying the crowd to join in but asking that all mobiles were switched off during the singing of Charlie Brown. Unbelievable.
Stars came down on our heads, balloons and the supporting act excellent. Can't wait to go again. Hope it is soon. Both of us went down with the flu upon our return home. Who cares. Would do it all over again hopefully.
